Removing the Black Dots

In the quest to get rid of blackheads, consider the Revlon Blackhead Remover which is comprised of a thin rod with two loops at the end, one larger than the other. The entire device is metal. The loop is pressed somewhat gently against the skin and moved down. The debris – think pus and clogged particles, are supposed to come popping out. Although it does not sound convincing, people swear by this device and find it much more effective than using their two fingers to squeeze the culprits. However, there can be pain involved, especially for the smaller elements you are trying to clear up on your face. The rod is about 4.00 and is of course found at any drug store that carries Revlon.

Tweezerman makes several models of the same invention, having one or two loops depending on the style. Prices range from 6.00 to 33.00.

Suvorna Blackhead Cleaner – this is another thin metal rod, but with cupped holes at each end. Its been rated 4 out of 5 stars for successful use on blackheads. One person said all she had was little circles on her face that took an hour to disappear, but everyone else provided positive reviews for the most part, though one did add that it mainly loosens up blackheads so you can finish removing them with your fingers. Having a hot shower prior to using, can help loosen the blackheads and help the tool more efficiently. Average price is 13.00.

Facial Pore Suction Suction Cleaner Blackhead Acne Remover – ouch, this baby does not have good reviews. You use batteries in the device. Two out of six people liked it and thought it was working well, rating it 4 out of 5 stars, but the other four reviews I read were pathetically discouraging and were not recommending the product.

The Panasonic Pore Cleanser with Micro-Fine Mist – this device has mixed reviews but there are enough good reviews to tell me this is a fine instrument to use in our quest of how to remove blackheads. The mistifier piece is typically seen as useless to users. The small sunction cup, but not the large, do work quite well if you keep the skin wet, not just moist. If you take a shower prior that is all the better, as that would loosen up the pores even more. One person recommended staying in the shower while using it, as the pores will stay open throughout the process. Cleansing and exfoliating prior is supposed to be helpful. The small sunction cup is used for the areas around the nose especially, while some like using the large sunction cup on the rest of the face. There are people who just love this device and others who sent their’s back for a refund. I am so impressed however by the reviews from those that loved it, that I am seriously thinking of getting one to experiment with. If you are expecting instant gratification, you will possibly see immediate results that day, or you may have to wait a couple weeks to notice a significant difference. Those who liked it the most however, often commented on how fast it worked. It takes an AA battery and costs approximately 30.00.
