Blu-U Photo Dynamic Light Treatment
This is also called Photo-Dynamic Therapy and most importantly is used for people with severe acne. Board Certified Doctors apply a prescription Levulan solution topically. This solution takes approximately 30 to 60 minutes to be absorbed. A Blu-U light is then used, which the patient sits under. The light activates the Levulan solution skin rejuvenation begins while acne lesions and oiliness are decreased. The treatment takes about 10 minutes once the Blu-U is administered.
Discomfort: There is no pain in this treatment. For approximately three days after, there is moderate redness and possibly some flaking. Treatment times: about three monthly sessions. The process does the following: it renders the acne causing bacteria as inactive. It unclogs pores by exfoliating the skin. It closes down the sebaceous glands in the skin, which are the main cause of the creation of acne, and therefore impacts long-term on severe forms of acne.

Shielo Anti Aging Complexion Scrub with their Complexion Moisturizer is like a God-send for me. I have really oily, acne-prone skin, so I am always really hesitant to try new moisturizers, since they tend to make my oily skin even worse. This product is so great. It not only moisturizes my skin, but it does not give it a greasy, oily feel, and it also helps clear up my acne. It is a win-win!
I have used other products in the past that moisturized my skin, but left it feeling oily and really made my acne worse, and I have used moisturizers that contained acne-fighting ingredients that helped my acne, but didn’t do a great job moisturizing my skin. Even though my skin is very oily, I still need a moisturizer to ensure that it is balanced and not overproducing oil to compensate for dryness. I use this product every morning after using a cleanser and astringent.
